Phone Calibre is an independent entity that acts as a neutral and unbiased third party that accurately tests and certifies the functional condition of smartphone devices as well as the condition of the display panel and the front glass. The entire process takes place natively on the device by installing, then running the Phone Calibre app. The app is based on our powerful Ecofunc testing technology, and it requires no expensive external hardware or complicated setup. The app utilizes the processor inside of the smartphone to run an extensive set of fully automated functional tests (Bluetooth, GPS, Microphone, Cell Radio, etc.) as well as several semi-automatic tests where the user follows simple on screen cues to do things like press the home button, or swipe their finger across the screen. The app also uses our Patented Self-E technology to assess the cosmetic condition of the device with the assistance of the device’s camera, and a mirror. The user simply follows the on screen cue to hold the device in front of a mirror so the device is able to take a picture of itself. After the tests are completed, a certification report is generated which includes a unique identifier number, as well as a record locator number. The certification report is automatically uploaded to our cloud, and it can be viewed any time by entering the record locator number on the Phone Calibre website. The report contains accurate and unbiased information about the functional and cosmetic condition of the device, and can be used in many applications including the sale of a used device, insurance sales and claims, device retail trade in assistance, and more.
